We are a group of enthusiastic individuals dedicated to advancing recreational sports and sharing culture. With Sri Lankan roots grounded in Winnipeg, Manitoba, ours is a passion driven by exuberance of youth, pursuit of excellence and a sense of community. Join us for a vibrant community experience that promotes health, education, and fun for all ages.

Our journey started on a sprinkling Saturday afternoon back in August 2015 with a handful of young families getting together for an afternoon of Cricket and a potluck dinner. Within a few short years, what started as a rather innocuous communal gathering, quickly developed into one of the most anticipated events in the recreational cricketing calendar in Winnipeg. With over 100 active members, our present reach stretches far beyond cricket over multiple other sporting and cultural activities.

The Golden Owl Sports and Recreation Club intends to serve as a major outlet for rendering the vitality, creativity and cultural affluence of the community that we are a part of in the years to come.
