The Journey of Golden Owl Sports and Recreation

Since 2015, Golden Owl Cricket has been a cherished part of the Winnipeg community. What started as a casual group of students getting together in the evenings to play cricket and reminisce about their childhood has evolved into a much anticipated annual tournament. Over the years, this tradition has been passed down from the early settlers of Winnipeg to newer members of the community, creating a lasting bond and shared love for the game.

In 2024, we celebrated a major milestone; 10 years of Golden Owl Cricket. It was during this celebration that we realized it was time to take our vision further. With immense pride, we are thrilled to announce that Golden Owl Sports and Recreation Club Inc. is officially registered in the province of Manitoba!

This marks the beginning of a new chapter for us. We’re expanding beyond cricket and looking forward to bringing more sports and activities to the community. Our goal is to continue creating fun, friendly competition and to strengthen the bonds we’ve formed over the years.
